Sales Ledger Administrator Birmingham The role: QA currently has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Sales Ledger Administrator to join a well established team in the Birmingham office. The overall purpose of the role is managing student refund applications, ensuring a positive student experience and compliance with internal and external policies and regulations. Responsibilities: • End to end ownership of the student refunds process – from receipt of the refund application to the payment proposal. • Liaising with students to understand their circumstances and ensure timely payment of valid claims in compliance with money laundering and associated regulation. • Liaising with recruitment, operations and admissions teams to validate student claims. • Ensuring student refunds are compliant with each partner University’s policy and safeguarding QAHE income where student circumstances change. • Support the wider credit control team in communications with students, bank reconciliations, ledger accounting and other data analysis. • Working within set SLAs and escalating to line manager where these are threatened. • Bank Postings responsibilities during busy periods to help other team members to meets SLAs. About you: • Understanding of Finance Function within a business. • Good credit control experience. • Ideally a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. • High standard of literacy and numeracy • Methodical and accurate with a proven ability to focus on detail. • Proven high level communication skills • Experience of using CRM and accounting database desirable. • Understanding of Microsoft office systems and basic level competencies • Database management experience desirable. Immediate Start Working within our QA Higher Education business you will have the skills, qualifications and experience to carry out English Language testing with our potential undergraduate and postgraduate students. The assessments will be carried out both face to face and online using Skype. You will also be involved with Test invigilation, proof reading and general administration i.e. typing, scanning, proofreading, filing and etc. What you’ll get up to: Ideally you will have either an English Language Examiner &/OR an English Language Teacher background and hold relevant qualifications as listed below. You will enjoy engaging with students, making the learners feel relaxed, ensuring their student journey is an enjoyable one no matter the assessment outcome. Our role is predominately Monday – Friday 9am – 5.30pm with some Saturdays required throughout the year. (Saturday working paid extra) With your excellent communication skills, you will be organised have good planning and delivery skills, be self-motivated, an excellent team player and an adaptable and confident manner. Our Focus is on delivery of high quality learning and teaching to facilitate excellent student outcomes. Here’s a little of what you’ll be doing: To plan, prepare and deliver EAP and Skills modules; To mark and provide appropriate feedback on oral and written work; To attend and contribute to CPD training sessions organised internally or externally; To provide academic support to students on EAP and Skills modules; To adhere to and maintain academic standards and quality assurance within the EAP team; To provide pastoral care and support to international students on our EAP programmes; To contribute to the wider business through sharing of best practice with the wider academic community and supporting or driving business development opportunities. Bring your experience: You should have EAP teaching experience in a university environment, hold a degree and Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults (DELTA) or equivalent (i.e. MA in TEFL/ TESOL and CELTA).
