About our role: Due to planned growth and subsequent increased student admissions, QA Higher Education is looking for qualified, experienced and enthusiastic EAP Lecturers to teach students both online and some F2F teaching on campus (when safe to do so). Our Focus is on delivery of high quality learning and teaching to facilitate excellent student outcomes.
Here’s a little of what you’ll be doing:
To plan, prepare and deliver EAP and Skills modules;
To mark and provide appropriate feedback on oral and written work;
To attend and contribute to CPD training sessions organised internally or externally;
To provide academic support to students on EAP and Skills modules;
To adhere to and maintain academic standards and quality assurance within the EAP team;
To provide pastoral care and support to international students on our EAP programmes;
To contribute to the wider business through sharing of best practice with the wider academic community and supporting or driving business development opportunities.
Bring your experience:
You should have EAP teaching experience in a university environment, hold a degree and Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults (DELTA) or equivalent (i.e. MA in TEFL/ TESOL and CELTA).
Membership of the HEA would be advantageous.
Candidates with MA in TEFL/TESOL without TEFL I qualification (e.g. CELTA or Trinity TESOL) shortlisted for interview will be required to provide evidence of 5 hours of systematic observation of lessons by a fully-qualified academic manager or teacher trainer;
A little about the Team: The EAP team currently works across four current university partners (Roehampton, Ulster, Northumbria and Middlesex, Solent, London Met) and teaches academic writing and study skills modules/programmes to all levels, from Foundation level 3 to Masters Level 7. The team is involved in a variety of programmes from standard pre-sessional to a rage of in-sessional courses, both assessed and unassessed.

The Role
You will be responsible for leading and assisting your team in creating efficient timetables for your campuses each semester, making sure student numbers are accurate, that the team has the latest delivery information and that any academic resource requirements are flagged and monitored.
Key Responsibilities
Continual review of student numbers to ensure an adequate number of timetables have been scheduled by your team. This will include both new and continuing students.
In-depth knowledge of delivery requirements for each academic programme.
Creation of academic resource requirements per semester.
Regular Attendance of planning meetings with Associate Deans.
Assisting with timetable creation to ensure efficient use of both lecturer and room resources.
Constant communication with the team to ensure any changes are flagged and understood.
Assisting with the creation of timetables in Semestry for both students and lecturers.
Monitoring requirements for timetables and revision session for re-sit students.
Skills / Experience Required
Creating a large volume of timetables/schedules in accordance with strict deadlines.
Experience of multi-tasking and working within an evolving environment.
Experience of managing and prioritising complex workloads with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Working with key marketing, sales and bid stakeholders to tease out key elements of the project brief
• Attending and proactively scheduling stakeholder meetings/calls to discuss expectations and desired outcomes of design
• Challenge/interrogate the stakeholders brief to ensure the right design application is produced
• Stakeholder expectation setting in line with your project objectives
• Manage your own diary and schedule work in line with deadlines and bandwidth – escalate any workload concerns
• Work with C-suite stakeholders to take briefs and manage amends/approvals for high-profile projects (e.g. investor presentations)
• Actively monitors and engages with industry trends and developments and considers how these new trends could be adopted by the wider QA team
Experience/ Skills
·Experience in print design and digital design with experience of B2B and B2C markets displaying a design portfolio that meets these requirements
·Proficient in design packages including:
·Adobe Creative Suite - InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Bridge and Acrobat Writer
·HTML/CSS (knowledge of Adobe Dreamweaver would be an advantage)

Carry out administration duties as required including the keeping of accurate logs of all interactions made with each student.
Monitor attendance and engagement trends in collaboration with Module and Programme leads in order to pro-actively identify trends and necessary support interventions. Ensuring discretion and confidentiality regarding the communication and retention coaching taking place with each student.
