The role:

 

QA has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Lead Studio & Digital Imaging Technician to join a well established team in the London HQ office. The overall purpose of the role is improving the quality and efficiency of our studio operations.

This will include contributing to the design and setup of our studio space, improving the speed and robustness of data wrangling from each shoot, as well as managing the studio schedule.

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Manage day-to-day operations of the studios at St Katherine’s Dock, including the definitive schedule of studio bookings
• Lead on setup of studios for each shoot day, taking requirements from Senior Video Producers
• Support on shoots in various roles including but not limited to camera operator, video producer and audio technician (on QA sites but also on location for bespoke requirements)
• Help develop and maintain processes for edit notes, source footage backup and footage distribution
• Own file management and best practices in relation to consistent naming conventions, storage and distribution of footage
• Help progress QA’s video styles and methods, to improve quality and effectiveness as a medium for learning
• Keep digital assets well organised using good housekeeping to ensure maximum re-use of assets and avoid any unnecessary additional work across the team

 

About you:

 

• Very strong technical skills in cameras, lighting and sound (including both physical sets and green screen technology)
• Excellent organisational and communication skills to manage studio schedule and setup
• Strong video production skills, behind the camera but also in post-production
• Extensive experience using Vimeo and Frame IO platforms to manage, distribute and review content
• Highly proficient when handling, setting up, using, and maintaining video production equipment- lighting, camera, lenses, microphones, sliders, tripods, backgrounds, gimbals, audio recorders and autocues
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite- Premiere, Audition, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator
• Understanding of how compression works and highly proficient in compression tools, settings, and best practices
• Highly proficient understanding of video principles, including bitrates, framerates, and resolutions
